Now that we have switched everything over to blip.tv except for our blog postings, the question of HD comment is something to consider as it is supported by our new video provider, Blip.tv.
Is going HD possible?
Absolutely! All our files are electronic so re-rendering content to HD quality is only a question of time… and hence the issue. I will be upgrading to a new laptop at the end of the year with a 64bit OS (ei: more ram) and quad/octa [...]

Simon’s gaming table was featured in Wired Magazine and the attention to detail that he put into his piece is incredible! It features inlayed colored acrylic pieces, a very strong [...]

Revver.com has been a great service for WoodMarvels.com but guess what, they are down again! I have had enough! So, today, we are switching all our videos to the Blip.tv platform. We will still be uploading our stuff to Revver.com but after today, no longer play an active role in our development.
As a result of this change, I had to take a few videos off our homepage as they where not uploaded to Blip.tv yet but rest assured, once they [...]

We get a lot of inquiries regarding the material properties of our most used material, EuroLite Plywood, on WoodMarvels.com. This material is used for our laser cut kits so under our Corporate heading, you can now find a very detailed explanation of the properties that make-up this incredibly versatile wood product. We are hoping to offer hardwood and softwoods sometime in the future.

I get this question often so by popular demand, here is a listing of almost everything that makes WoodMarvels.com possible.
3D Modeling Software
Every model on WoodMarvels.com was built using Autodesks 3D Studio Max version 6. This is a version that is a few years old but it does the job tasked to it wonderfully. I do plan on upgrading to the latest once I convert everything to a 64 bit operating system but for now, 32 bit XP works nicely for [...]

Alexa’s Blog, titled “Web Discovery Machine” was running a contest over the holidays regarding who can submit the best Haiku describing their service. I submitted two:
My site’s Oxygen,
Visitors are Hydrogen,
Alexa is Rain.
(I realized later I should have written Alexa’s Water)
My site’s a city,
Traffic comes from all corners,
Roads are Alexa.
I didn’t win but at least I got an honorable mention by Geoffrey! The prize, a million free banner impressions on Alexa… that would have been AMAZING! Better luck next time [...]
