I got some great looking pictures of the CNC version of the WoodMarvels.com Ford Model T. Richard did a great job assembling this model, looks great!

It’s taken 400 videos over the past few years but my YouTube.com account now has a total lifetime view count of 1,003,921! (front end stats lag behind backend ones apparently) What makes this interesting is that I can pretty easily date the videos based on the imagery shown… the worse it is, the older the video! No music = ancient first batch of videos ever used on WoodMarvels.com. So… here are the top 10 most viewed videos from across my [...]
I’ve completed the optimization of Jerry’s original helicopter which was made for laser cutters. This version is much larger, has more internal guides that help keep individual parts together and all this fits on two 400mm by 500mm 6mm sheets of plywood! Here are the videos below showing me cutting these models with my ShopBot Desktop and assembly afterwards. The files are available right now at WoodMarvels.com under Collaborations / ShopBot Tools. This is most likely the last model to [...]
A long while back, I made a series of bird feeders and houses, well, now you can get those files in DXF file and not only EPS and PDF format. Easiest way to find them is to go to WoodMarvels.com / Shop By Theme / Great Outdoors I’m due for a new series of bird related items for Spring!
Due to request, I’ve now released a version of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in DXF format for both laser and CNC though I suggest the model needs to be at least scaled by 200% if you plan on doing this using CNC due to the small parts in this model. You can find it at WoodMarvels.com under Shop by Category / World Landmarks / Australia That got me thinking… I need to beef-up the World Landmarks category! Sydney Harbour Bridge: [...]
…and then there were 6 CNC projects! Although I have well over a hundred laser projects, the CNC woodworking projects are coming along nicely so regardless of which machine you have or technology you prefer, you’ll soon, in a few months, be able to find the CNC or Laser (and 3D printable) project just for you! This Future Car CNC model was re-engineered from the ground up to take advantage of z-pockets in the wheels and body (hiding internal supports) [...]
Although I get the majority of my avenues of growth both personally and professionally, I do read books every once in a while for an “intensive crash course” to fill my to-do lists. Here is what I’ve read or will be reading over the Christmas/New Year holiday season. This book gave me lots of ideas, I gathered 3 pages of notes for improvements across my businesses and oddly enough, physical books! A rather dry book, has some good info but [...]
The dinosaurs were among the first laser projects I released so it’s apt that the same can be said for these new CNC router projects… the Centrosaur CNC has now been let out! This model is optimized using pockets so that again, all the internal support structures are hidden from sight and as you can see from the videos below, cutting and assembly is a breeze! You can find it right now at WoodMarvels.com under Collaborations / ShopBot Tools in [...]
If you looking for a decent size CNC project that not only push/pulls but also floats, our submarine should fit the bill nicely! As with most of the CNC projects I’ve released, adapted from their laser cut cousins, this one has integrated parts which are hidden upon assembly to give you a smoother looking model. The nice thing about guide integration is that it adds a bit to the mystery of how everything stays together (to me at least) but [...]
A new Apatosaurus (Brontosaur) has been added to the Collaborations / ShopBot Tools section of WoodMarvels.com and is available in PDF, DXF/PartWorks file formats for download right now! This project is very simple to put together and is the second dinosaur to inhabit the CNC area of my site with a few more coming along for the ride shortly. What I really enjoyed about CNC’ing this product was the very nice size of the finished product… if there is one [...]
