Hi Josh, funny thing is, just yesterday I was thinking that Olive Oil would be a great lubricant in it because it would be absorbed by the wood... though vegetable oil would be just as good. I think having two independent "spinning" features in the wheel will mean that even if it does stick, the wheel will still spin though, after time - I can see it being an incredibly smooth ride.

I never thought of the wheel system before the rover but the more I play around with it, the more I really like it and hope to use it on future models.

Thanks for your comment Josh!

Been thinking about your wheel a little bit; beeswax would be helpful in the closed wheel to reduce friction/wear on the moving parts and perhaps give the wheels a longer life? Looking forward to seeing the finished rover.

That's my thinking... some people just want to keep others down, I've been producing animations for industrial companies for well over 10 years, that's how it all started but I am getting a few partnerships going of which, I'll be animating their products. Thanks for your comment!

I think you're on the right track Jon; the 3d animations allow people who can't read a blueprint visualize the design without you having to front the cost of physically making an example. Allowing you to bring a lot more designs to market in a shorter time span. In the future you might consider charging for creation of 3d animations for other designers as the online marketplace for this sort of thing expands. Or even market the service to physical blueprint providers!:)
